Kek Lumut

Today, I baked Kek Lumut. Plan to make it for Gawai, so this session is a kind of "warming up" session.. Lol!!

Actually the original recipe, we need to steam the cake. But for this time, I am bake steam it or known as 'water-bath'.  Basically if we steam it, we need about 2-3hours, but if using water-bath, I only takes about 1 hour 20mins... 

The recipe is in Bahasa Melayu @ BM but if you notice, other bloggers' recipe almost the same so you can google it (for those who did@can't read in BM).

Kek Lumut
Bahan-bahan
1 cawan tepung gandum*
1 cawan Horlicks* (* satukan)
3/4 cawan gula
250 gm butter
4 biji telur grade A
1 sudu besar pandan paste
4 sudu besar serikaya pandan
1/4 cawan susu pekat

Cara-cara:
Pukul butter dan gula sehingga putih dan kembang dengan kelajuan maksimun.

Masukkan telur satu persatu sambil di pukul perlahan.

Masukkan susu pekat, serikaya, pandan paste dan pukul rata setiap campuran dimasukkan. Masukkan tepung campuran horlicks.

Tuangkan ke dalam loyang 7"x7" yang di lapik dan dilenser dengan butter. Tutup loyang dengan aluminium foil bagi mengelak air jatuh di permukaan kek. Sebelum itu, sapu sedikit butter pada aluminium foil supaya bila kek  masak, tidak melekat dan permukaan akan menjadi cantik.

Kukus 2-3 jam dgn api sederhana. Bila dah sejuk, boleh dipotong dan dihidangkan.
